If you're buying a home in NJ, esp as a first-time home buyer, you want Phil to be your inspector. He recently inspected a home in Madison for my husband and I.

He really took his time and left no stone unturned in order to give us the full understanding of the condition of the home. He took 4 hours to inspect a ~1850 sq home. Other inspectors were like 'we'll be done in 2 hours'. And I'm really glad Phil is so detail-oriented because he caught issues that are not immediately visible to the eye.

He also presented his findings in a calm and objective manner that neither dismissed the seriousness of the findings, nor sounded alarmist.

The specialists he recommended post-inspection are also really high quality, honest, and communicative, just like him.

We recently used Phil for inspections as second time home buyers. The difference between Phil and the home inspector we used for our first house was such a night and day difference. As a home buyer, you absolutely want an inspector like Phil. He was extremely thorough. He took his time showing us everything and gave us his absolute honest opinions, he does not rush through just to get the job done. We also had a chaotic day because our septic inspection was in the same day and there was a mix up. I wasn’t able to be at the entire home inspection like I had planned to be because I have four small children. Our home inspection went very well with the assistance of Phil. Not only was he thorough he was knowledgeable of the issues that arose. I would use him again if need be!

First of all, I never write reviews, which shows how great Phil is.

Do yourself a favor. Make the best decision of your life and hire Phil to inspect your home. He is, without a doubt, the best home inspector you could ever work with. We had an unbelievable, perfect experience with him.

He agreed to work with us on short notice. He arrived 15 minutes early for the inspection. He spent over six hours with us on our inspection, answering literally every single question we could come up. It was more than an inspection. It was an introductory course to home ownership and maintenance. He did a radon test and mold test, checking the attic, basement, crawl spaces, roof and every single inch of the home and property he physically could. He was kind, patient, friendly and thorough. He didn’t take one call, respond to one text or focus on anything besides our inspection the entire time he was at the house. It was a perfect experience, and considering how many inspectors rush through their inspections and schedule multiple on one day, his time and care was a welcomed surprise.

We got a report sent to us by the end of the day. The report was clear, concise and accurate. It included hundreds of photos and had the issues sorted into categories. It was easy to navigate and helped us feel more informed about our home purchase.

Phil’s rates were reasonable and competitive. But perhaps the best thing about working with Phil was he followed up with us after the home inspection. He sent texts, provided advice and was available for a phone call whenever we needed. We truly felt like his top priority, even though he had a full schedule of inspections and a family at home (he interestingly comes from a family of home inspectors, which was clear from the moment we met him).

We were intentionally looking for someone who would have the tools necessary to identify our concerns about water damages and mold. Our family did not want to go through that nightmare, again, due to severe health issues our child experienced and is still healing from.

The service provided by Craftsman Home Inspection Services was impeccable. Philip was accommodating in getting to the house in a short period of time, especially so when I told him about the seller desiring an early closing date. His inspection was extremely thorough and provided me the areas that I needed to address with the seller through the attorney but also areas that I needed to address personally when the closing date happens and I have to take care of some of the issues myself.

The other thing that made this whole experience so good with me is that, he followed up with me after the inspection and asked if I had any questions about his report and if more explanations we needed, and when I brought at thought to the table he even thought about it and said I never looked at it that way and I should pursue it with the attorneys. It just shows that more that being a home inspector looking for all the issues of a house for you, he understands that though something might not be be an issue in someones eye, but a serious safety concern to another, and he agreed with me after our second talk.

From the very first communication onwards with Phillip, you will have the sense that you are working with a top notch professional here , who is not only top of his game in crafts he has acquired but an authentic and distinct service provider. Incredible level of detail!! Professional, thorough, courteous, and punctual. We had a residency inspection on a house we are looking to buy and were very impressed with the level of detail Phil Netti provided. He inspected the entire surroundings, outside of house, backyard, under the deck, garage, including top shelves, attic, basement - entire ~3,000 sqft house and all plumbing, electric and heating elements. While we were present Phil gave us an in-depth walk through pointing out minor, marginal and major defects/safety issues, answered all questions and advised on how to fix the issues, e.g. what type of professional can do it and how urgently it needs to be taken care of. The following day we received a multi-page comprehensive report with all pictures of the defects, including level of severity (minor/major), description and type of professional help needed to fix it. Not trying to upsell at all just to make a buck. On inspection day he completed his inspection and then took the time to walk me through everything he found in the home and explain things in an easy to understand manner.
